An Apple program manager who posted anonymous tales of discrimination suffered by co-workers at the tech giant has been canned, according to reports.

Janneke Parrish, an Austin-based employee who worked on Apple Maps, is a leader of #AppleToo, an online group that published stories of alleged “racism, sexism, inequity, discrimination, intimidation, suppression, coercion, abuse, unfair punishment, and unchecked privilege” faced by Apple workers.

She was fired last week for deleting files — including apps Google Drive, Robinhood, and Pokemon Go — from her work device during a company investigation, according to The Verge.

In a tweet, Parrish, 30, implied she was fired in retaliation for her work with #AppleToo.

CEO Tim Cook has cracked down on leaks, telling employees in September: "People who leak confidential information do not belong" at the secretive tech giant.

“There are consequences for speaking out. There are consequences for doing the right thing,” she said. “But we do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. #AppleToo is about asking Apple to do better, to end systemic discrimination, abuse, and pay inequity.”

Apple did not immediately return a request for comment.
