Credence ID has launched an updated version of its CredenceCONNECT platform for biometric and mobile ID management.
The new CredenceCONNECT Version 2.0 provides improved control, insight, and flexibility to system managers and administrators to improve the management of mobile ID devices in the field. Subscriptions to the service now include applications and utilities including Vibe for biometric verification, identification, and enrollment, CONNECT-Mobile for device usage and other analytics, LockDown for remote device security, and Notifications for alerts.
The platform allows customers to perform enrollment, identification and verification of subjects, and map, analyze and manage devices from any web browser. The physical location and history of devices can be viewed through Google Maps, and selecting a device within the map now provides a full view of the device and its use, including how many enrollments or card scans have been carried out and battery health.
“Administrators of mobile ID terminals often underestimate the challenges of managing and supporting dozens, hundreds or thousands of devices that are in the field or about to be deployed,” said Yash Shah, Credence ID CTO.
Credence ID devices now come pre-integrated with industry leading biometric and smartcard SDKs, which CONNECT enables remote licensing and activation of through the web browser. The company says this allows its partners to offer a true “identity as a service model.” Activity from devices can be audited or easily imported into billing or ERP systems.
CredenceCONNECT was originally launched by the company last September.
