The Google Home will now respond in a more personalised way to each member of your house after adding multiple users. It will recognise who is talking and will respond with that particular users account information.
Thus, by doing so, multiple users can use one home device and will get own personalised information, alerts or listen to their favourite music playlist.
How to add multiple users to your Google Home devices
Open Google Home app
The first step is to open the Google Home app on your smartphones.
Click on Settings
Click on three-lines menu button at the top and click on More Settings from the drop-down menu.
Click on Shared devices
Now, click on Shared Devices and now you will see the option of Add Devices.
Continue
Click on the Home device and click on continue.
Link account and voice
If your account is updated, instructions are the same. Go to Google Home > Tap the home icon at the bottom left > Tap your speaker or smart display and go into that specific device’s settings and link an account and voice.
Teach the assistant
Now, teach the assistant to recognise your voice and tap on continue.
Invite users
Enter the email of the user and they will receive an invitation from you. The users can accept the invite, train their voice and now they can also be connected.
Manage accounts
In order to manage accounts, go to Home>Devices>Choose the device you want to add>Settings>Linked accounts.
