The father of the student police say brought an explosive device into Newaygo County High School has been federally indicted.
In March, we told you a homemade explosive device went off in a Newaygo high school classroom.
The teacher and four students were hurt.
Police say the 16-year-old student who brought the device lost both of his thumbs.
He has been suspended and is facing expulsion.
The teen’s father, David Saylor Senior, is federally charged with having two explosive devices as well as a stolen gun.
Each charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
