Facebook has dozens of apps spread across even more platforms. And although these apps have different looks and features, they've got one thing in common: To use them, you need to log into your Facebook account.

Luckily, logging into Facebook usually just requires your email and password.

Here's how to log into Facebook using your Mac, PC, iPhone, or Android device.

How to log into Facebook on an iPhone or Android device

On a mobile device, you can use either the Facebook app or website. The app is definitely easier, but both methods are similar.

If you want to use the app, you'll need to download it onto your device. You can get it for free from the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store.

1. Open the Facebook app or head to the Facebook website in your phone's web browser.

2. Enter the phone number or email associated with your Facebook account, and then the password.

3. Tap Log In.

Depending on your security settings, you might need to enter a code that's sent to your phone or email.

Once you've signed in, Facebook should ask you if you want to save your login information. This will let you log back into Facebook later by just tapping your profile picture.
