More than 24,000 homes and businesses in Cape May County are without power Friday after a substation fire in Wildwood, according to Atlantic City Electric.
The company’s outage map shows more than 24,000 utility customers without power in Wildwood. The earliest report came in just after noon on Friday. The company estimates power will be restored by 7 p.m. Friday, according to the map.
Atlantic City Electric posted on social media that the outages are due to a fire at the Lake Avenue substation in Wildwood.
